Welcome to my Blog!

This is a place for me to share my love of crafts. Right now, I work mostly with paper and beads, but I have been venturing into fabric of late as well. Enjoy!

My Apron is Nearly Done!!!!

I have pieced it all together and am ready to sew it together. Problem: I hit a pin with my needle. It's time to make dinner anyway, so I will take a break until tomorrow morning. This has a been a fun project. I am new to sewing and I have made this whole thing up without a pattern. I think it will be very cute and functional. I am looking forward to having it completed. My goal is to have it done by my stamping retreat next weekend as another project that can be completed with the SU! Scalloped Square Die and the Sizzix Big Shot. Enjoy!

Aprons!

Can you believe it? Two posts in one day! Oh my. My creative juices are flowing today! My next project is an apron. I have cut out all the front squares and lined about a third of them with batting. Here's what it looks like so far. Check in soon for the finished project!

My Latest Venture

I have started making these business card wallets. As you can see, I have been trying to sew more and get the hang of it. ;) I think I am getting a bit better. Check them out! If you want me to put directions up, no problem, simply post a comment and I will draw up some details!

Rag Quilt Bag Success!

So, I finally dug my sewing machine out, and after much frustration, I finished my first bag all without any help or instruction! I am so proud of myself. I have made one other in a class, but I did this one all by myself. I used the Stampin' Up! Scallop square die to cut my fabric squares, which I put together with fusable batting. Then, I sewed the edges together to make the frayed-looking edges out of the scallops. I ran out of fabric, so I used a coordinating ribbon. :) It's super cute. Enjoy!

New Year = New Spirit

Ok, so it's the first day of 2010 and I feel motivated! I am currently working on cleaning out my craft room/office in hope that I will try to stay a bit more organized in the new year and get back to my crafts. Although this blog got started as a site for my Stampin' Up! customers to connect with my and get inspiration, I plan to grow it this year to include the other crafts I have adopted since the start of this blog. I will still post paper crafting projects with directions, but I will also be sharing some of my items as well. :)

Happy new year everyone!
